EASTER PINKS

Thursday, March 24, 2016

I have been fully embracing the Rose Quartz makeup trends for Spring (Even though I live in the NorthEast and just had a snow storm... OH WELL).

I made a makeup look using basically only light pinks and I think it came out really well and I have worn it almost daily since! I think this makeup look is perfect for Easter, which I consider the first holiday of Spring.

I started the look with my eyes by using Rimmel Wake Me Up as a primer and covering my whole lid with Harajuku from the UDXGwen palette, this color looks really intimidating in the pan but when applied its actually a really pretty light pink and is a great base color. After I covered my eye lid I went in with Dust from the Naked 3 palette and applied it to the outer half of my eye lid and applied Buzz in my crease. I finished off my eyeshadow by taking a little bit of Virgin into the inner corner of my eye to brighten it up.

After my eyeshadow I moved on to concealer. I took my Rimmel Wake Me Up again and applied in in a triangle under my eyes and took Revlon Colorstay concealer, which is a shade lighter, in the corner of my eye where my underage circles are darkest. I blended out my concealer and powdered under my eyes before finishing up my eye look. I took Buzz again and brought it under my eye and then lined my waterline with Urban Decay's 24/7 glide-on eyeliner in Whiskey to make the look more defined but still be soft and playful. I finished off the eyelook by apply a few layers of Benefit's Roller Lash mascara to my top lashes only.

Now, I moved on to my face and started by filling in my eyebrows with my trusty ABH DipBrow Pomade in Soft Brown. I used a Laura Geller Bronze-n-brighten to contour my face. I really like this bronzer for a daytime took because it is marbled with a highlighter so its less harsh and more brightening. I then took my Benefit Rockateur Blush and applied it to the apples of my cheeks to finish off my face. I completed the look with my new favorite lip color, NYX Soft matte lip cream in the shade Istanbul.

I hope you liked this makeup look! let me know if you try and recreate it!

See you soon!
x Emily
