MY ATTEMPT AT BAKING BANANA BREAD

Tuesday, April 05, 2016

Hello all! The other day I noticed some forgotten bananas in my kitchen and decided they were perfect to make some banana bread and decided to give it a go. Now, if you know me you know my skills in the kitchen are basically nonexistent, except for making toast and pasta lol.

I looked online for a promising recipe and came across this one on Cookie & Kate that looked good. I decided to give up dairy a few days ago and it turns out sour cream is in most banana bread (who knew? 🤷 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ) so it took a little digging to find a good recipe with no sour cream.

First things first I had to go to the grocery store because I'm a college student so why would I have kitchen basics? lol.

The recipe is pretty easy to follow along. You just throw everything in a bowl and mix it all up! I also added a few chocolate chips in to spice it up a little :). Then you bake it at 325 degrees fahrenheit for 55-60 minutes. I baked mine for exactly 55 minutes and used the knife trick (ya' know where you stab the bread and if it comes out clean then its ready) to check if it and it was perfect!

This banana bread was so moist and delicious! I will definitely be making this on the regular. Its perfect to have at breakfast or maybe a nighttime snack. I had a slice the other morning with strawberries and a little honey it was divine!

If you like bananas you should definitely give this recipe a go and let me know what you think!

If you want the full recipe you can look at it here.

See you soon!
