CURRENT HITS OR MISSES
Friday, June 10, 2016HELLO ALL!
Today I want to share some of my current hits and misses with you. I wanted to a May favorites post but I haven't done a favorites post since February because I feel like I don't try enough new products each month to make a favorites post. But over the past few months I bought a few things that I have been loving and using consistently for like 3 months and a few things that were a bust and I thought I would share them with you!
HITS:
L'Oreal Voluminous False Fiber Lashes Mascara: I bought this product not knowing anything about it first. I went to the drug store because I needed a new mascara and the shiny gold packaging called to me (obviously). It has honestly been one of the best mascaras I have ever used and basically replaced my go-to Lash Sensational mascara which I never thought would happen.
Essie Imported Bubbly: I picked this Essie nail polish up to wear more my Commencement Ball and Graduation. It is a golden beige color with a shiny pearl finish which is a nice neutral color with a more glamorous spin on it. I have also been going on job interviews and this is the perfect color to wear to remain professional but also a little more fun than other neutrals.
Pixie Blush Duo in Rose Gold: I received this product in an Ipsy bag and I think its the best product I have ever received in a subscription box. Its a blush and highlight duo that adds a nice glow to my face. I honestly have never really used highlighters because I was scared they would make my face look sparkly but this duo gives me a nice shine that brightens up my face!
PINK Lace High Neck Bralette: I fell in love with this bralette! I have been all about the high neck trend lately I think it is super cute and it can be either girly or edge-y. If you follow me on Instagram then you may have seen the bra featured in a few pics. I think this looks great under a deep v or scoop neck tee shirt with jeans for a more casual look or dress it up by wearing a skirt. This could also worn as a cute crop top if you are confident enough. I was also pleasantly surprised how supportive it is, I am a pretty busty girl so I need a lot of support and barrettes usually don't work on me but this one has a wire and is very well made.
Gonzo Girl by Cheryl Della Pietra: I bought this book on my recent trip to Columbus, OH (blog post here) as something to read on the plane. The book is super interesting and really well written. I don't want to give too much away but its basically about an aspiring writer working as an assistant to a world renowned Author who seems to be in a rut and she has a lot of adventures along the way. I still have a few chapters left of the book but so far it has been a great read.
Rimmel Scandaleyes Liner: I have read a lot of good reviews about this liner so I was super excited to try it. The tip is very hard and reminds me of like a dry erase marker. The result of the hard tip is it drags across my lid and isn't very smooth which leaves bumpy, messy liner and I end up having to put a bunch more on to try and fix the mistake. also the actual product came out as more of a grayish black and not a blackest black which I really hate. The liner is also super cheap so I guess you get what you pay for!
Illamasqua Precision Ink: I also got this product in an Ipsy bag and this liner basically has the opposite problem of the scandaleyes liner, the applicator is too loose and I feel like I have no control of the product and it literally goes everywhere. The consistency on the formula is also very wet so I when I do perfect my eyeliner I feel like it smudges very easily. I have to say the one thing that I love about this liner is that the color is so black and intense! SO if you don't have a problem with these types of liquid liners then you might want to give this a try for the color pay-off.
I hope you enjoyed this post!
See you soon!

MISSES:
Funnily enough both my misses are liquid liners! I still can't seem to find a replacement for my holy grail Soap and Glory Supercat liner (I ended up ordering supercat on eBay last week lol).Rimmel Scandaleyes Liner: I have read a lot of good reviews about this liner so I was super excited to try it.
